Wolof Basket - White

These large bowl shaped baskets are handcrafted by a group of rural Wolof women in Senegal, West Africa as part of a fair-trade project. Woven from a local grass called ‘njodax’ and recycled plastic strips (which are discarded in the production of prayer mats). Perfect as a fruit, general goods bowl or decorative piece in any room.

Each one unique in pattern and vary slightly in shape and size.

Medium measures roughly 42cm diameter x 10cm high.

Large measures roughly 53cm diameter x 13cm high.
