Real Review Magazine 12

$27.00

Real Review is a quarterly contemporary culture magazine with the strapline “what it means to live today”. With an agenda that focuses on the politics of space, and looks at how everyday conditions enforce and reinforce power relations, the issue is dedicated to the paradoxical sensation of 'Absolute Proximity'.

The people and things we want feel very far away. Everything else is far too near. Daily life is incorrectly calibrated. 'Absolute proximity' is an intense feeling of claustrophobic isolation. The desire for more space is producing strange outcomes. Many people are questioning their purpose. Many people no longer want to take part in contemporary capitalism. They want to lie flat.

Contributors to issue 12 include Cao Fei, David Wengrow, Roisin Tapponi, Tacita Dean, Claire Marie Healey, Maddy Weavers, Ursula K. Le Guin, Vivian Amos, Secretary, Jacob Dreyer, Anna Ulrikka Andersen, Eliot Haworth, Magali Reus, Harry Woodlock, Sebastian Olma, Kristabel Chung, Metahaven, Timothy Morton and Slavoj Zizek.
