Since 12th century, the monks of Camaldoli have prepared remedies in their apothecary from the depths of the Tuscan forest. This apothecary supplied the monastery's infirmary, which operated for centuries until it was decommissioned in 1934. Following the closure, the monks transformed the grounds to accommodate the ongoing production of formulations that are themselves stories of healing, care, spirituality and centuries-old knowledge.

Every stage of production continues to take place by hand in the Ancient Pharmacy's laboratory, resulting in a collection of botanically led products that combine monastic simplicity with modern rigour.

A fragrant, pleasantly aromatic combination, where fennel meets mint, liquorice, lemon balm and citrus peel. An ideal after-meal infusion, long appreciated for its natural and pleasant way to support digestive function. 

Directions for infusion: 2 tablespoons in 1/2 litre of boiling water, leave to infuse for 10 minutes, filter and drink.

Ingredients: Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Miller) fruits 12%, Peppermint (Mentha piperita L.) tops 11%, Licorice (Glychirrhiza glabra L.) root 11%, Lime (Tilia plathyphyllos Scop.) flowers and bracts 10%, Sweet orange (Citrus aurantium L. var. dulcis L.) peel 10%, Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) leaves 8%, Elecampane (Enula campana L.) root 8%, Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) tops 8%, Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis L.) leaves 7%, Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) flowers 7%, Centaurea erythaea, Rafn Tops 6%, Lavender (Lavandula ongustifolia Miller) flowers 2%.
