Since 12th century, the monks of Camaldoli have prepared remedies in their apothecary from the depths of the Tuscan forest. This apothecary supplied the monastery's infirmary, which operated for centuries until it was decommissioned in 1934. Following the closure, the monks transformed the grounds to accommodate the ongoing production of formulations that are themselves stories of healing, care, spirituality and centuries-old knowledge.

Every stage of production continues to take place by hand in the Ancient Pharmacy's laboratory, resulting in a collection of botanically led products that combine monastic simplicity with modern rigour.

An all-over salve with therapeutic and soothing properties. Mimosa tenuiflora, or Tepezcohuite, is a plant native to southern Mexico (the Chapas region), traditionally used since pre-Hispanic times. Recent studies confirmed and highlighted the plants important eudermic properties. It has a soothing and refreshing effect on dry, rough and chapped skin.

Its formula, enriched with ingredients passed down through the centuries by monastic wisdom, offers a feeling of relief and well-being: sunflower oil and beeswax provide a rich and nourishing base that deeply hydrates, creating a protective barrier against external agents, while lavender essential oil imparts a delicate and relaxing fragrance.

Directions: Apply to the affected area twice a day.
