These beautiful, organically shaped beer strainers are handwoven by the Xhosa women in the eastern cape of South Africa.
These woven basket tubes are a traditional tool used amongst the Xhosa people of South Africa to seperate sediments from beer. Each one is unique.
The Xhosa women who weave this collection work as part of a community project - providing them with employment and continuing to empower the skill of basket weaving in their local township.
Measures approx 15cm wide x 63cm tall. Give or take 10cm as each one is unique.
