These small baskets with lid are hand woven by Zulu women in Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa as a part of a local co-operative, the skills of basketry in Zululand continue to be passed down from generation to generation and remain a reliable source of income for artisans. Each basket is hand-woven from local grasses and are traditionally used to store herbs, natural dyes are used to form contrast geometric patterns.
