Tonga Stool - 008

These solid wooden stools were made by the Tonga people of Zimbabwe and southern Zambia. Hand-carved from one piece of wood they were traditionally used by the elderly as a stool and were a status symbol which held significant importance across their culture. Always unique in size and shape.

*Please note there is a chip on the top edge of this piece - due to its age imperfections like this are common and add character.

Tonga Stool 008 measures 24cm wide at top x 20cm wide at base x 23cm tall.
